I’ll go further and also recommend you stop using Microsoft Windows and switch to Linux. It’s not that Linux is idiot-proof in terms of security. Far from it. It’s often said that no operating system itself is “secure” — but rather that some are “more securable” than others. With Linux, you at least have a fighting chance — but you have to educate yourself so that you can actively participate in keeping your system secure.
