I was reading up on reports of anti-war protests around the US today, when I saw this article in the Washington Post:
Iraq War Opponents Stage Protest Near Fort Bragg
It quotes one Tammy Harris:
“You’re traitors to our country. Go home! You don’t belong in Fayetteville,” shouted Tammy Harris, who waved a small American flag, as did her four children, as the demonstrators marched past.
No Tammy, you’re the traitor for supporting an illegal, unconstitutional and un-American war. You’re a traitor to both America and the human race for refusing to think through the crimes the leaders of your government have committed, regardless of how uncomfortable or confused that makes you feel. You would rather support the butchery of woman and children in Iraq than pull your head out of your ass.
Tammy, may your words echo throughout history as an example of the small minds that have wrought this carnage and endangered America’s future.
