Tabletop RPG nostalgia

I freely admit it — I was a roleplaying game geek as a kid through young adulthood. At the age of 37, I still would be, except that I and everyone I used to game with pretty much got to busy with other things. For all of us to manage to get together for even a single game nowadays, it’s almost like the darkly prophesied return of Cthulhu — the stars must be right. For those like myself who continue to look back fondly on that part of their lives, though, I offer this link: 700 things you shouldn’t be allowed to do during an RPG.
BTW, someone who ought to know says my own personal failings are best described by 244, 367, 440, 485, 555, 585 and 682.

You’re a fellow roleplaying geek? ~Kewl!~~
I’ve played since I was 12. AD&D 2nd Ed. and Shadowrun. Never stopped loving it. In fact a small bookcase of RPG books is just about the only thing from my former life left in my apartment.
My ex-GF and I played a campaign for several years in a Scandinavian setting. She played a skald who rose from 3rd to 9th level.
The only trouble is that role-playing used to be excitement; now it’s relaxing. It’s increasingly difficult for me to imagine a role-playing campaign that is less of an adventure than my real life. Or a universe more fantastic than this one. Or epic battles more terrifying than those facing our increasingly interesting times.
Still, there are so many campaigns I never got a chance to run….
