Write my post: Agorism vs Anarcho-capitalism
Here’s how this works. Regular readers of my blog have a tendency to understand how I think. I want a particular post that I sense really ought to be written. I CAN write it and largely HAVE written it as part of a book I’m working on. However, I wish to gain a sense of how well the ground I want to cover is already understood by the most advanced elements out there (if I may flatter my readers).
As I wrote in “Market anarchism as stigmergic socialism“:
After thinking about this a great deal, I’ve come to the conclusion that the above exaggerates the differences between anarcho-capitalism and mutualism as ideologies, but not necessarily as movements — an important distinction to make. As a result, I’d like to review why I believe anarcho-capitalism is, in some ways, incorrectly named and why this, in turn, has resulted in an anarcho-capitalist movement consisting of a large number of deviationists insufficient in their adherence to their own stated principles.
In comments to this blog entry:
1. Using the above as a point of departure, pick a section below and write it in the comments section. No more than three paragraphs per section. This is a simple exercise, not brain surgery.
2. In all sections, contrast this aspect of agorism with anarcho-capitalism as either a movement or a body of thought. The point is that by applying Rothbardian principles in the most stringent manner possible, we go beyond anarcho-capitalism to agorism / left libertarianism.
3. If you want to participate without writing, offer in comments below a cash bounty via Paypal for writing of a particular section(s) — to THE WRITERS, not me!
I’ll edit and compile the best results as a new post and potential pamphlet.
